One of the cool things about working for an architecture firm with such a rich history, is being able to visit some of the local projects that our firm has been involved with over the years. Saturday was our annual Dinner Dance, held at the Edsel Ford House in Grosse Pointe. Albert Kahn was the architect who did this house for the Ford's, and the office was also involved with the Activities Center on the site back in the 90's. I brought my camera along with me hoping to be able to document a little bit of this piece of local history, but pictures in the house were not allowed and we weren't outside to see the gardens much at all. I highly recommend this tour if you're ever in the area.
Here's one of the roses in Mrs. Ford's many gardens.
Ken avoiding the paparazzi Turned Ken loose with my camera for a minute.
He's really very shy.

Beautiful rose, honey! Too bad you weren't able to take a few shots inside. You're right... we should go over there with the family some time. Looks like you had a nice time with your friends. Love, Mom
